I would like to send my warmest wishes for the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

China’s significance in the world’s economy continues to grow, and it is a natural step for the UK to work with this economic powerhouse. The UK and China established the comprehensive strategic partnership 10 years ago, since when we have been working together to facilitate steady growth in bilateral trade and investment. As a dedicated ambassador of Britain's financial and professional services sector, I look forward to leading a business visit to China this October, accompanied by a delegation of senior British business leaders, in order to strengthen financial and economic links between our two great countries.
